Not later than 4 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, and every 4 years thereafter, the Inspector General of the Department of Commerce shall conduct an audit of the Office to— evaluate the extent to which the requirements under this Act are met; and provide recommendations on any proposed changes to improve the effectiveness of the Office on meeting the mission described under section 2(b). There is authorized to be appropriated to the Inspector General of the Department of Commerce $5,000,000 for fiscal years 2024 through 2028, to remain available until expended, to carry out subsection (a).
