Section 428 of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act ( 42 U.S.C. 11386 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: Not less than 2 percent of the amounts made available to carry out this subtitle each year shall be used to facilitate integration with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics with respect to behavioral health, mental health, substance use disorder treatment for individuals and families who qualify for supportive housing through Supplemental Security Income or the Social Security Disability Insurance program.
Out the amounts set aside in paragraph (1), the Secretary may provide bonuses or other incentives to projects located in areas where there are high numbers of homeless individuals, as reported in the most recent point in time count for the region in which the project is located. With respect to the bonuses and incentives described in subparagraph (A), the Secretary may provide $500,000 or more for each 1,000 homeless individuals in the area in which the project is located. Notwithstanding clause (i), the Secretary may not provide— more than $2,000,000 to any 1 project; or more than $5,000,000 in the aggregate to projects in a single region. .
