Section 4 of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act ( 29 U.S.C. 2103 ) is amended to read as follows: This Act shall not apply to a site closing or mass layoff if the closing or layoff is the result of the completion of a particular project or undertaking for which— the completion point of the project or undertaking was— ascertainable; and when an affected employee was hired, described to and acknowledged by the employee, in writing, as limiting the duration of the employment; and the approach of the completion point was reasonably obvious, without any notice other than under paragraph (1)(B), to any affected employee not less than 60 days before the occurrence of the completion point. .
