Section 2A(f) of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 ( 16 U.S.C. 2101a(f) ) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking 2023 and inserting 2028 ; in paragraph (2), by striking $10,000,000 and inserting $50,000,000 ; and by adding at the end the following: In addition to the authorization of appropriations in paragraph (1), there are authorized to be appropriated up to $40,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2028 for the purposes of supporting the implementation of State-wide assessments and strategies for forest resources under this section. .
