Sec. 6322. Budget transparency for open-source intelligence activities

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the head of each element of the intelligence community shall submit to the Director of National Intelligence a complete and comprehensive summary of all budget information with respect to the element’s open-source intelligence activities. Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of National Intelligence shall submit to the congressional intelligence committees, the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate, and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives a report compiling the information in the summaries submitted to the Director pursuant to subsection
(a). In this section, the term open-source intelligence means intelligence derived exclusively from publicly or commercially available information that addresses specific intelligence priorities, requirements, or gaps.
