In this Act: The term advanced nuclear reactor has the meaning given such term in section 3 of the Nuclear Energy Innovation and Modernization Act ( 42 U.S.C. 2215 note). The term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, of the House of Representatives; and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and the Committee on Environment and Public Works, of the Senate. The term eligible entity means an individual or entity described in section 3(b)(1).
The term institution of higher education has the meaning given such term in section 2 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( 42 U.S.C. 15801 ). The term program means the program established under section 3(a). The term Secretary means the Secretary of Energy. The term State means each of the 50 States and the District of Columbia.
