The National Security Agency Act of 1959 ( 50 U.S.C. 3601 et seq. ) is amended by adding at the end the following new section: Not later than 30 days after the date on which the Director of the National Security Agency determines the occurrence of an intelligence collection adjustment, the Director shall submit to the congressional intelligence committees a notification of the intelligence collection adjustment. In this section: The term congressional intelligence committees has the meaning given that term in section 3 of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3003 ).
The term intelligence collection adjustment includes a change by the United States Government to a policy on intelligence collection or the prioritization thereof that results in a significant loss of intelligence. .
