The Director of the Bureau of Prisons, in collaboration with the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, shall establish a program to offer to individuals in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons— drugs that are approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treatment of a substance use disorder; counseling and other psychosocial treatments for the treatment of substance use disorders; and evidence-based withdrawal management services. Section 1904(d) of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 ( 34 U.S.C. 10424(d) ) is amended— by striking means and inserting the following: means ; by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: includes any drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of substance use disorder. .
