Sec. 1. Publication of data from Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program

Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter until all amounts made available for the Program have been obligated by the Assistant Secretary, and notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Assistant Secretary shall make publicly available on the website of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration the data collected from grant recipients and subgrantees under the Program that is related to the diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility elements of the Program, including data relating to— subgrantee ownership demographics and the demographics of the workforce used for activities assisted with Program funding; and the number and amount of contracts and subcontracts awarded under the Program to minority business enterprises and to women’s business enterprises.
The data made publicly available under subsection
(a)shall be— made available as an open Government data asset (as defined in section 3502 of title 44, United States Code); freely available for download in bulk; rendered in a human-readable format; and accessible via application programming interface where appropriate.
