Section 7002(a)(3)(B)(i) of the Energy Act of 2020 ( 30 U.S.C. 1606(a)(3)(B)(i) ) is amended to read as follows: oil, oil shale, coal, or natural gas; . Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this section, the Secretary, acting through the Director of the United States Geological Survey, shall publish in the Federal Register an update to the final list established in section 7002(c)(3) of the Energy Act of 2020 ( 30 U.S.C. 1606(c)(3) ) in accordance with subsection
(a)of this section. Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this section, the Secretary, acting through the Director of the United States Geological Survey, in consultation with the Secretary of Energy, shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report that includes the following: The current status of uranium deposits in the United States with respect to the amount and quality of uranium contained in such deposits. A comparison of the United States to the rest of the world with respect to the amount and quality of uranium contained in uranium deposits. Policy considerations, including potential challenges, of utilizing the uranium from the deposits described in paragraph (1).
