Section 453(a)(1) of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17112(a)(1) ) is amended— in subparagraph (A), by striking ‘‘or’’ at the end after the semicolon; in subparagraph (B), by striking the period at the end and inserting ‘‘; or’’; and by adding at the end the following: a facility in which 2 or more computers perform logical operations to mine or create crypto-asset (as defined in section 3 of the Crypto-Asset Environmental Transparency Act of 2022 ). .
