Section 5311 of title 49, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (c), by striking paragraph
(2)and inserting the following: For fiscal year 2023 and each fiscal year thereafter, there is authorized to be appropriated, and there is appropriated, out of any monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $75,000,000 for grants to Indian tribes for any purpose eligible under this section, under such terms and conditions as may be established by the Secretary. Amounts made available under subparagraph
(A)shall be apportioned as formula grants, as provided in subsection (j). The amount made available under subparagraph
(A)for fiscal year 2024 and each fiscal year thereafter shall be adjusted annually to reflect the change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. ; and in subsection (j)(1)(A), in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking described in subsection (c)(2)(B) and inserting made available under subsection (c)(2)(A) .
