Section 311(b)(1) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act ( 16 U.S.C. 1861(b)(1) ) is amended— in subparagraph (B), by striking and after the semicolon; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following a new subparagraph: detain, for a period of not more than 14 days, any shipment of fish or fish product imported into, landed on, introduced into, exported from, or transported within the jurisdiction of the United States, or, if such fish or fish product is determined to be perishable, sell and retain the proceeds therefrom for a period of not more than 21 days. .
