Section 6 of the Presidential Protection Assistance Act of 1976 ( 18 U.S.C. 3056 note) is amended— by striking Executive departments and inserting the following: Except as provided in subsection (b), Executive departments ; by striking Director; except that the Department of Defense and the Coast Guard shall provide such assistance and inserting the following: “Director. Subject to paragraph (2), the Department of Defense and the Coast Guard shall provide assistance described in subsection
(a); and by adding at the end the following: For fiscal year 2022, and each fiscal year thereafter, the total cost of assistance described in subsection
(a)provided by the Coast Guard on a nonreimbursable basis shall not exceed $15,000,000. The Coast Guard may provide assistance described in subsection
(a)during a fiscal year in addition to the amount specified in subparagraph
(A)on a reimbursable basis. .
