Section 8004(g) of the Water Resources Development Act of 2007 ( 33 U.S.C. 652 note; Public Law 110–114 ) is amended— by redesignating paragraph
(2)as paragraph (3); and by inserting after paragraph
(1)the following: Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the Water Resources Development Act of 2022 , the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives an implementation report on opportunities to expand the use of water level management on the Upper Mississippi River and Illinois Waterway System for the purpose of ecosystem restoration. .
