Section 2(b) of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 ( 42 U.S.C. 3121(b) ) is amended— in paragraph (3), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (4), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: tourism marketing is an economic development tool used by communities for economic development and should be considered an eligible use of economic development funding awarded by the Federal Government through the Economic Development Administration. .
Section 209(a) of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 ( 42 U.S.C. 3149(a) ) (as amended by section 3(b)(2)) is amended by inserting travel promotion (including funding for tourism marketing, marketing research, purchasing advertisements, and attracting business meetings or convention travel), after 208(a)), .
