Subtitle H of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 ( 34 U.S.C. 12421 et seq. ) is amended— in the subtitle heading, by striking and inserting Enhanced Training ; and Training in section 40801 ( 34 U.S.C. 12421 )— in the section heading, by striking and inserting ENHANCED TRAINING ; TRAINING by striking subsection (a); and in subsection (b)— by striking and all that follows through paragraph
(1)and inserting the following: .—
(b)Grant program The Attorney General shall make grants to eligible entities in accordance with the following: ; by redesignating paragraphs
(2)through
(5)as paragraphs
(1)through (4), respectively; in paragraph (1), as so redesignated— by striking , including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, exploitation, and neglect each place it appears; in subparagraph (A)— in clause (i)— by striking elder abuse and inserting abuse in later life ; and by striking victim advocates, and and inserting victim advocates, or ; and in clause (iv), by striking advocates, victim service providers, and courts to better serve victims of abuse in later life and inserting leaders, victim advocates, victim service providers, courts, and first responders to better serve older victims ; and in subparagraph (B)— in clause (i), by striking or other community-based organizations in recognizing and addressing instances of abuse in later life and inserting community-based organizations, or other professionals who may identify or respond to abuse in later life ; and in clause (ii), by striking elder abuse and ; in paragraph (2), as so redesignated— in subparagraph (A)— in clause (iv), by striking with demonstrated experience in assisting individuals over 50 years of age ; and in clause (v), by striking with demonstrated experience in addressing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking ; and in subparagraph (B)(iv), by striking in later life; and inserting 50 years of age or over. ; and in paragraph (4), as so redesignated— by striking $9,000,000 and inserting $10,000,000 ; and by striking 2014 through 2018 and inserting 2023 through 2027 .
