Section 106A of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3041a ) is amended— by redesignating subsection
(d)as subsection (e); and by inserting after subsection
(c)the following new subsection (d): No element of the National Reconnaissance Office may be transferred to the Space Force. Nothing in chapter 908 of title 10, United States Code, shall affect the authorities, duties, or responsibilities of the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office, including with respect to the authority of the Director to operate a unified organization to carry out the research, development, test, evaluation, acquisition, launch, deployment, and operations of overhead reconnaissance systems and related data processing facilities of the National Reconnaissance Office. .
