Section 2 of the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978 ( 7 U.S.C. 3501 ) is amended by striking , other than a security interest, each place it appears. Section 7 of the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978 ( 7 U.S.C. 3506 ) is amended— by striking Any report and inserting the following: Any report ; and by adding at the end the following: Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this subsection, the Secretary shall make publicly available on the website of the Department each report submitted to the Secretary under section 2 not later than 30 days after the date on which such report is received by the Secretary.
Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this subsection, the Secretary shall make publicly available on the website of the Department each report submitted to the Secretary on or after January 1, 2000. . Section 9 of the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978 ( 7 U.S.C. 3508 ) is amended— by redesignating paragraphs (4), (5), and
(6)as paragraphs (5), (6), and (7), respectively; in paragraph (1)— by striking States and used and inserting States that— is used ; by adding or after the semicolon; and by adding at the end the following: in the preceding 10-year period, was used for a purpose described in subparagraph (A); ; in paragraph (3)— in subparagraph (C), by striking and at the end; by redesignating subparagraph
(D)as subparagraph (E); and by inserting after subparagraph
(C)the following: any person, other than an individual or a government, that issues equity securities that are primarily traded on a foreign securities exchange; and ; and by inserting after paragraph
(3)the following: the term interest includes— a security interest; and a lease, without regard to duration of term; .
