Section 6(b) of the Global Food Security Act of 2016 ( 22 U.S.C. 9305(b) ) is amended— by striking $1,000,600,000 and inserting $1,200,000,000 ; by striking fiscal years 2017 through 2023 and inserting fiscal years 2024 through 2028 ; and by adding at the end the following: Amounts authorized to appropriated by this subsection should be prioritized to carry out programs and activities in target countries. .
