Sec. 5134. Department of Veterans Affairs awareness campaign on fertility services

The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall conduct an awareness campaign regarding the types of fertility treatments, procedures, and services covered under the medical benefits package of the Department of Veterans Affairs that are available to veterans experiencing issues with fertility. In carrying out subsection (a), the Secretary shall ensure that a variety of modes of outreach are incorporated into the awareness campaign under such subsection, taking into consideration the age range of the veteran population.
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report that includes a summary of the actions that have been taken to implement the awareness campaign under subsection
(a)and how the Secretary plans to better engage women veterans, to ensure awareness of such veterans regarding covered fertility services available. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committees on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Senate; and the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
