Section 46101(b) of title 46, United States Code, is amended by— in paragraph (2)— by striking one year and inserting 2 years ; and by striking 2 terms and inserting 3 terms ; and in paragraph (3)— by striking of the individual being succeeded and inserting to which such individual is appointed ; by striking 2 terms and inserting 3 terms ; and by striking the predecessor of that and inserting such . The amendments made by this section shall not apply to Commissioners to whom section 403(b) of the Howard Coble Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2014 ( Public Law 113–281 ) applies.
