Section 102(b) of the Nuclear Energy Innovation and Modernization Act ( 42 U.S.C. 2215(b) ) is amended— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph (B), by adding at the end the following: Costs for activities, other than acceptance reviews, related to preapplication consultations regarding, and reviews of applications for, licenses for design, construction, or operation of advanced nuclear reactors, including costs for activities of any project manager assigned to a specific advanced nuclear reactor application. ; and by adding at the end the following:
The exclusion described in subparagraph (B)(iv) shall cease to be effective on the date that is 15 years after the date of enactment of this subparagraph. ; and in paragraph (2)— by striking In accordance with and inserting the following: In accordance with ; and by adding at the end the following: In carrying out subparagraph (A), the Commission may not assess or collect fees to cover the costs described in paragraph (1)(B)(iv).
