Section 1344 of title 28, United States Code, is repealed. Nothing in this part may be construed to affect the authority of district courts of the United States to exercise jurisdiction pursuant to existing provisions of law, including sections 1331, 1343(a)(3), and 1343(a)(4) of title 28, United States Code, in any cases arising under the Constitution, laws, or treaties of the United States concerning the administration, conduct, or results of an election for Federal office or state legislative office. The table of sections for chapter 85 of title 28, United States Code, is amended by striking the item relating to section 1344.
