Section 1306 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17386 ) is amended— in subsection (d), by redesignating paragraph

(9)as paragraph

(10)and inserting after paragraph

(8)the following: The ability to use technology, equipment, or hardening measures to enable the electric grid to better withstand the effects of extreme weather, a wildfire, or any other natural disaster. ; and in subsection (f), by striking 2008 through 2012 and inserting 2022 through 2026 .
