Sec. 20006. Grants for Native American language teachers and educators

The Native American Programs Act of 1974 is amended by inserting after section 803C the following: In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated for fiscal year 2022, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to remain available until September 30, 2031, $200,000,000 for the Secretary, in carrying out section 803C, to award grants to carry out activities relating to preparing, training, and offering professional development to Native American language teachers and Native American language early childhood educators to ensure the survival and continuing vitality of Native American languages.
The Secretary shall not impose a cost sharing or matching fund requirement with respect to grants awarded under subsection (a). .
