Section 34 of the United States Housing Act of 1937 ( 42 U.S.C. 1437z–6 ) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, assistance under this section may be provided with respect to residents of any housing project for which assistance has been converted under the rental assistance demonstration program under the heading Rental Assistance Demonstration in title II of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2012 (division C of Public Law 112–55 ; 125 Stat. 673), if assistance was provided under this section with respect to such project before such conversion. .
