Section 302(d)(4) of the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017 ( 15 U.S.C. 8532(d)(4) ) is amended by striking the period and inserting: , including— if the Under Secretary determines that existing commercial data does not meet National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration needs, an explanation of why the commercial data was not sufficient; and if the Under Secretary determines that no commercial data will be purchased in a fiscal year, guidance to Congress about potential uses of commercial data. .
