Section 6103(a) of title 5, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to Columbus Day the following: Election Day, the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November of every even-numbered year. . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall apply with respect to the regularly scheduled general elections for Federal office held in November 2022 or any succeeding year.
