In this subtitle— the term applicable ethics committee means the Select Committee on Ethics of the Senate (for Senators and employees of the Senate) or the Committee on Ethics of the House of Representatives (for Members of the House of Representatives and employees of the House of Representatives); the term Board means the Congressional Ethics Board established under section 553(a); the term employee of Congress means an employee of the House of Representatives or an employee of the Senate; the term employee of the House of Representatives has the meaning given the term in section 101 of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 ( 2 U.S.C. 1301 ) and includes an elected or appointed officer of the House of Representatives; the term employee of the Senate has the meaning given the term in section 101 of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 ( 2 U.S.C. 1301 ) and includes an elected or appointed officer of the Senate; and the term Member means any Senator or Representative in, or Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress.
