Sec. 746. Comptroller General study on delivery of mental health services to members of the reserve components of the Armed Forces

The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study on the delivery of Federal, State, and private mental health services to members of the reserve components. The study conducted under subsection
(a)shall— identify all programs, coverage, and costs associated with services described in such subsection; specify gaps or barriers to access that could result in delayed or insufficient mental health care support to members of the reserve components. evaluate the mental health screening requirements for members of the reserve components immediately before, during, and after— Federal deployment under title 10, United States Code; or State deployment under title 32, United States Code; and provide recommendations when practicable to strengthen the reintegration of members of the reserve components, including an assessment of the effectiveness of making programming mandatory. Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the study conducted under subsection (a). In this section, the term reserve component means a reserve component of the Armed Forces named in section 10101 of title 10, United States Code.
