Sec. 1609. Invasive species in alpine lakes pilot program

The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, shall establish a pilot program (referred to in this section as the pilot program ) to carry out measures necessary to prevent, reduce the number of, or eradicate aquatic invasive species in alpine lakes in areas in which the Secretary of the Interior is carrying out environmental projects. There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out the pilot program $25,000,000 for the period of fiscal years 2022 through 2024.
