Section 222 of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2272 ), as amended by section 102(b), is further amended by adding at the end the following: For purposes of subsection (a), workers in a firm include staffed workers and teleworkers. In this subsection: The term staffed worker means a worker who performs work under the operational control of a firm that is the subject of a petition filed under section 221, even if the worker is directly employed by another firm. The term teleworker means a worker who works remotely but who reports to the location listed for a firm in a petition filed under section 221. .
