During the period beginning on May 1, 2020 and ending on December 31, 2020, the Medicare programs under title XVIII of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395 et seq.) shall be exempt from reduction under any sequestration order issued before, on, or after the date of enactment of this Act. Section 251A(6) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 ( 2 U.S.C. 901a(6) ) is amended— in subparagraph (B), in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking through 2029 and inserting through 2030 ; and in subparagraph (C), in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking fiscal year 2029 and inserting fiscal year 2030 .
