Sec. 1212. Report on protection order service processes

The Attorney General shall submit to Congress a report on service processes for protection orders, and potential improvements to efficiency and safety through the use of electronic service process methods, including— a summary of the current methods of serving and enforcing protection orders in various jurisdictions; statistics on the efficiency and safety of the methods described in paragraph (1), including statistics on how often process servers succeed in serving protection orders on the intended recipients or targets in the various jurisdictions; an analysis of potential improvements to the efficiency and safety described in paragraph
(2)across various jurisdictions by using electronic service methods; recommendations on the implementation of electronic service methods in various jurisdictions; and an analysis of potential issues with electronic service methods with regard to technology and due process.
