(2)of section 1286(c) of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ) is amended to read as follows: Training, developed and delivered in consultation with academic institutions, and other support to academic institutions to promote security and limit undue influence on institutions and personnel, including financial support for execution for such activities, that— emphasizes best practices for protection of sensitive national security information; and includes the dissemination of unclassified publications and resources for identifying and protecting against emerging threats to academic research institutions, including specific counterintelligence guidance developed for faculty and academic researchers based on specific threats. .
