Section 1232(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 130 Stat. 2488), as most recently amended by section 1247 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ), is further amended— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking fiscal year 2017, 2018, or 2019 and inserting fiscal year 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020 ; in paragraph
(1)by striking ; and ; in paragraph
(2)by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: the Russian Federation has released the 24 Ukrainian sailors captured in the Kerch Strait on November 25, 2018. .
