Section 208 of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1158(a) ) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), and inserting at a designated port of entry (including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), ; and in subsection (b)(2)(A)— in clause (v), by striking or at the end; in clause (vi), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or at the end; and by adding at the end the following: the alien arrived in the United States anywhere other than at a designated port of entry. .
