Section 1862(a) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395y(a) ) is amended by striking paragraph (12). Section 1861(s)(2) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395x(s)(2) ) is amended— in subparagraph (GG), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (HH), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: dental services; . Section 1833(a)(1) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395l(a)(1) ) is amended— by striking and before
(CC); and by inserting before the semicolon at the end the following: , and
(DD)with respect to dental services described in section 1861(s)(2)(II), the amount paid shall be an amount equal to 80 percent of the lesser of the actual charge for the services or the amount determined under the fee schedule established under section 1848(b). . The amendments made by this subsection shall apply to items and services furnished on or after January 1 following the date of the enactment of this Act. The amendments made by this subsection shall apply to items and services furnished on or after January 1 following the date of the enactment of this Act. Section 1862(a)(7) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395y(a)(7) ) is amended by striking hearing aids or examinations therefor, . The amendment made by this subsection shall apply to items and services furnished on or after January 1 following the date of the enactment of this Act.
