Sec. 546. Reporting of COVID–19 testing results

Every laboratory that performs or analyzes a test that is intended to detect SARS–CoV–2 or to diagnose a possible case of COVID–19 shall report daily the number of tests performed and the results from each such test to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and to the Secretary of Homeland Security, in such form and manner as such Secretaries may prescribe. Such information shall be made available to the public in a searchable, electronic format as soon as is practicable, and in no case later than one week after such information is received.
The Secretaries specified in subsection (a)— may specify additional reporting requirements under this section by regulation, including by interim final rule, or by guidance; and may issue such regulations or guidance without regard to the procedures otherwise required by section 553 of title 5, United States Code.
