Sec. 723. Registry of TRICARE beneficiaries diagnosed with COVID–19

Not later than June 1, 2021, the Secretary of Defense shall establish and maintain a registry of TRICARE beneficiaries who have been diagnosed with COVID–19. The registry under subsection
(a)shall include, with respect to each TRICARE beneficiary included in the registry, the following: The demographic information of the beneficiary. Information on the industrial or occupational history of the beneficiary, to the extent such information is available in the records regarding the COVID–19 diagnosis of the beneficiary. Administrative information regarding the COVID–19 diagnosis of the beneficiary, including the date of the diagnosis and the location and source of the test used to make the diagnosis. Any symptoms of COVID–19 manifested in the beneficiary. Any treatments for COVID–19 taken by the beneficiary, or other medications taken by the beneficiary, when the beneficiary was diagnosed with COVID–19. Any pathological data characterizing the incidence of COVID–19 and the type of treatment for COVID–19 provided to the beneficiary. Information on any respiratory illness of the beneficiary recorded prior to the COVID–19 diagnosis of the beneficiary. Any information regarding the beneficiary contained in the Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry established under section 201 of the Dignified Burial and Other Veterans’ Benefits Improvement Act of 2012 ( Public Law 112–260 ; 38 U.S.C. 527 , note). Any other information determined appropriate by the Secretary. Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Senate a report on establishing the registry under subsection (a), including— a plan to implement the registry; the cost of implementing the registry; the location of the registry; and any recommended legislative changes with respect to establishing the registry. In this section, the term TRICARE beneficiary means the following: An individual covered by section 1074(a) of title 10, United States Code. A covered beneficiary (as defined in section 1072 of title 10, United States Code).
