Section 233 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 10 U.S.C. 2358 note) is amended— in subsection (e), by striking 2022 and inserting 2027 ; and in subsection (f)— by amending paragraph
(1)to read as follows: Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the status of the pilot program. ; and in paragraph (2), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: With respect to any military department not participating in the pilot program, an explanation for such nonparticipation, including identification of— any issues that may be preventing such participation; and any offices or other elements of the department that may be responsible for the delay in participation. . Effective as of December 23, 2016, and as if included therein as enacted, section 233(c)(2)(C)(ii) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 10 U.S.C. 2358 note) is amended by striking Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics and inserting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology .
