Sec. 801. Allowing for the transfer of Federal lands to be used as national cemeteries

Section 2406 of title 38, United States Code is amended— by striking As additional lands are needed for national cemeteries, and inserting
(a)As additional lands are needed for national cemeteries, ; and by adding at the end the following new subsection (b): Notwithstanding section 1714(d) of title 43, when the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the Secretary of the Interior agree to the transfer of any land for use by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a national cemetery under subsection (a), the land shall be withdrawn from the public lands and permanently transferred to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. .
