Effective on December 15, 2023— section 1114 of the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 ( 12 U.S.C. 3414 ) is repealed; section 626 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681u ) is repealed; section 627 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681v ) is repealed; section 2709 of title 18, United States Code is repealed; and section 3511 of title 18, United States Code is amended— by striking section 2709(b) of this title, section 626(a) or
(b)or 627(a) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, section 1114(a)(5)(A) of the Right to Financial Privacy Act, or section 802(a) of the National Security Act of 1947 each place it appears and inserting section 802(a) of the National Security Act of 1947 ( ; and 50 U.S.C. 3162(a) ) in subsection (b)— in paragraph (1)(A), by striking section 2709 of this title, section 626 or 627 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( ; and 15 U.S.C. 1681u and 1681v), section 1114 of the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 ( 12 U.S.C. 3414 ), or in paragraph (2), by striking the Attorney General and all that follows through the head or deputy head of the department, agency, or instrumentality, and inserting the head or deputy head of the department, agency, or instrumentality making the request . Effective on December 15, 2023— the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 ( 12 U.S.C. 3401 et seq.) is amended— in section 1101(1) ( 12 U.S.C. 3401(1) ) by striking , except as provided in section 1114, ; in section 1102 ( 12 U.S.C. 3402 ), in the matter preceding paragraph
(1)by striking , 1113, or 1114 and inserting or 1113 ; and in section 1109 ( 12 U.S.C. 3409 )— by striking subsection (c); and by redesignating subsection
(d)as subsection (c); section 1510(e) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking confidentiality requirements and all that follows through National Security Act of 1947 ( and inserting 50 U.S.C. 436(b)(1) ), confidentiality requirements under section 802(b)(1) of the National Security Act of 1947 ( ; 50 U.S.C. 3162(b)(1) ), the table of sections for chapter 121 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking the item relating to section 2709; the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ( 50 U.S.C. 1801 et seq.) is amended— in section 603 ( 50 U.S.C. 1873 )— in subsection (b)— in paragraph (5), by adding and at the end; in paragraph (6), by striking ; and and inserting a period; and by striking paragraph (7); and in subsection (e)— by striking paragraph (3); and by redesignating paragraphs

(b)and inserting the following: The dates for the submittal to the congressional intelligence committees of the semiannual reports on decisions not to prosecute certain violations of law under the Classified Information Procedures Act (18 U.S.C. App.) as required by section 13 of that Act shall be the dates each year provided in subsection (c)(2). ; in subsection (c)(2), by striking each semiannual and inserting the semiannual ; and in subsection (d)(1)(B), by striking a semiannual and inserting the semiannual .
