Section 6(a)(3) of the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 ( 2 U.S.C. 1605(a)(3) ) is amended— by striking and at the end of subparagraph (A); by adding and after the semicolon the end of subparagraph (B); and by adding after subparagraph
(B)the following: a system that assigns a unique identification number for each lobbyist for whom a registration or report is filed under this Act; . Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Secretary of the Senate shall submit a report to Congress on the progress made by the Clerk and the Secretary in implementing the amendment made by subsection (a), and shall include in the report an analysis of the progress made in including the unique identification number assigned to a lobbyist in the statements and reports filed under the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 in a structured data format.
