Effective upon the enactment of section 401 of the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018 ( Public Law 115–282 ), and notwithstanding section 402(e) of such Act— section 16 of the Ports and Waterways Safety Act, as added by section 315 of the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act ( Public Law 115–44 ; 131 Stat. 947)— is redesignated as section 70022 of title 46, United States Code, transferred to appear after section 70021 of that title, and amended so that the enumerator, section heading, typeface, and typestyle conform to those appearing in other sections in title 46, United States Code; and as so redesignated and transferred, is amended— in subsections
(b)and (e), by striking section 4(a)(5) each place it appears and inserting section 70001(a)(5) ; in subsection (c)(2), by striking not later than and all that follows through thereafter, and inserting periodically ; and by striking subsection (h); and chapter 700 of title 46, United States Code, is amended— in section 70002(2), by inserting or 70022 after section 70021 ; in section 70036(e), by inserting or 70022 after section 70021 ; and in the analysis for such chapter— by inserting Sec. above the section items, in accordance with the style and form of such an entry in other chapter analyses of such title; and by striking the item relating to section 70021 and inserting the following: 70021.
