Section 112b of title 1, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a), by striking Committee on International Relations and inserting Committee on Foreign Affairs ; and by amending subsection
(b)to read as follows: Each department or agency of the United States Government that enters into any international agreement described in subsection
(a)on behalf of the United States, shall designate a Chief International Agreements Officer, who— shall be a current employee of such department or agency; shall serve concurrently as Chief International Agreements Officer; and subject to the authority of the head of such department or agency, shall have department or agency-wide responsibility for efficient and appropriate compliance with subsection
(a)to transmit the text of any international agreement to the Department of State not later than 20 days after such agreement has been signed. .
