Section 1363 of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 4104 ) is amended— in subsection (b), by striking the second sentence and inserting the following: Any owner or lessee of real property within the community who believes the owner’s or lessee’s rights to be adversely affected by the Administrator’s proposed determination may appeal such determination to the local government no later than 90 days after the date of the second publication. ; in subsection (d), by striking subsection
(e)and inserting subsection
(f); by redesignating subsections (e), (f), and
(g)as subsections (f), (g), and (h), respectively; and by inserting after subsection
(d)the following new subsection: If the Administrator has not received any appeals, upon expiration of the 90-day appeal period established under subsection
(b)of this section the Administrator’s proposed determination shall become final. The community shall be given a reasonable time after the Administrator’s final determination in which to adopt local land use and control measures consistent with the Administrator’s determination. . Subsection
(a)of section 1363 of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 4104(a) ) is amended by striking in the Federal Register .
