Section 534 of title 28, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: There is authorized to be appropriated $3,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2024, to remain available until expended, for the purposes of enhancing the ability of tribal government entities to access, enter information into, and obtain information from, Federal criminal information databases, as authorized by this section. . Section 534 of title 28, United States Code, is further amended by amending subsection
(d)to read as follows: The Attorney General shall permit tribal law enforcement entities (including entities designated by a tribe as maintaining public safety within a tribe’s territorial jurisdiction that has no federal or state arrest authority) and Bureau of Indian Affairs law enforcement agencies— to access and enter information into Federal criminal information databases; and to obtain information from the databases. .
