Section 1834(m) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395m(m) ), as amended by section 102(b)(2), is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: The requirements described in paragraph (4)(C) shall not apply with respect to telehealth services furnished on or after January 1, 2021, for purposes of evaluation of an acute stroke, as determined by the Secretary. In the case of an originating site that does not meet the requirements described in paragraph (4)(C), he Secretary shall not pay an originating site facility fee (as described in paragraph (2)(B)) to the originating site with respect to such telehealth services. .
